One of the technological gems that is onboard the Guiletta, and a number of other new Alfa Romeo models, is the Dual clutch transmission. Power delivery from the new TCT transmission is smooth in operation but fast in delivery. The TCT dual clutch is linked with the innovative Start/Stop system and is developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies. A key advantage of the TCT transmission is that the new dual dry clutch provides less friction and reduced energy losses.

While we’re on the topic of Alfa Romeo goodies, the Alfa Romeo Guilietta’s drive train also comes with a Dynamic mode that introduces Pre-Fill. This is a new function that uses the VDC system to provide the driver with the quickest braking response possible.

And the Giulietta 1.8-litre QV has 173 kW on tap. Base 1.4 litre models that can break a top speed of 218 km/h and win an International Engine of the Year award have to be a bit special. The QV can better 240 km/h, too!

It has been recently noted that the Alfa Romeo Giuelletta is Europe’s safest compact car, as confirmed by a score of 87/100, and a five-star rating according to EuroNCAP testing. This has been the best result on record for this compact hatch category. Safety-wise, the front end successfully reduces both inertia forces and intrusions into the passenger compartment. Six airbags, three-point seatbelts front and rear, double pretensioners, load limiters, and a collapsible pedal unit and steering column come as standard throughout the range. A beaut anti-whiplash system and Isofix attachments add the icing on the cake.
The 1.4 model is loaded with the latest luxury features like 17-inch sports alloys wheels, 225/45 tyres, fog lights, a leather steering wheel, radio controls on the steering wheel, automatic dual-zone climate control system, cruise control, a front armrest with a storage compartment, interiors with Competizione fabric, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth communications.

Step into the QV, and 18-inch special alloy wheels, a lowered suspension, side skirts, headlights with a dark finish, tinted windows, a Bose hi-fi system, dark brushed aluminium dashboard inserts, interiors upholstered in leather and microfibre fabric with red stitching, a leather steering wheel with red stitching make your driving experience sensational.
