Dream cars always have a reason to be desired. If it’s sleek looks, then that’s what appeals. If it’s that the car is particularly high tech, then that’s what will appeal for many. If a car is exceptionally safe, then I can see why some would desire this to be the vehicle for them. And if it happens to be a new BMW 4 Series Convertible, then that’s the car that appeals to me!
On four wheels, travelling in sunny weather in an open-top convertible is hard to better at any time. Catching the breeze in the hair and the smell of sea air are two of the great delights. When you can join this special open-top experience with a drive in the brand new BMW 4 Series Convertible (and it doesn’t really matter which model of 4 Series Convertible), you’ve reached auto heaven.
At present there are four engines that power the gorgeous new BMW 4 Series Convertible. Whichever engine you prefer, you can then choose one of three model lines for your BMW 4 Series Convertible. There are plenty of amazing options and features to make the new open-top Beemer just right for your own individuality. All models have an electronic retractable roof which is swift and smooth in operation. In seconds you can be driving in the open air with the sun on the skin or, again, in seconds you can have the roof closed at the first hint of cooler, wetter weather. Think BMW 4 Series Convertible and think loads of driving enjoyment.
Proportionally, the BMW 4 Series Convertible is one of the nicest in the BMW line-up. It’s large enough to appreciate the long stretched out bonnet and lengthy wheelbase, while also being small enough to carry minimal weight, remaining athletic and dynamic in appearance. Hit the road, and the athleticism and dynamic appearance transforms into some awesome handling characteristics. If mean and elegant could marry together, then I think the fruits would be that of a BMW 4 Series Convertible. Purist lines gel to create an imposing and impressive sight even when stationary. When light plays on the curves and bulges, the attractive BMW Cabriolet looks very striking indeed. A long, low-profile bonnet starts with the distinctive double kidney grille. Flared overhangs look powerful; the engine air breather behind the wheel arches looks cool, and so too the bulging wheel arches. All the sporty overtones blend to make a car that is exciting and beautiful at the same time.
BMW have also provided a quality interior that looks rousing, and the combination of fresh new design and genuine functionality equates to a great feeling of wellbeing and satisfaction when it comes to travelling in the new BMW 4 Series Convertible. The optional sports seats are upholstered in beautiful fine leather and they also boast an electronically adjustable backrest, seat height and width function. Loads of high-quality materials and finishes give the BMW 4 Series Convertible loads of character and refinement inside what is a super-special place to be.
Creative new thinking has had BMW coming up with some neat new features. Each of the BMW 4 Series Convertible models offer 370 litres of storage space in the boot with the roof closed. A handy 230 litres of luggage space is still able to swallow plenty of items when the retractable hard roof has fully opened. An air collar and wind deflector are two other thoughtful ways that BMW have ensured that your travel in the BMW 4 Series Convertible is the best it can be. Even with the roof open, BMW have designed the Convertible to provide three temperature levels for driver and front passenger, as the heating output and air output of the air collar are governed electronically. What the wind deflector does is reduce the level of draughts in and around the occupants inside the BMW 4 Series Convertible cabin, especially when speeds are high. When the deflector is not in use, it can be simply folded down and comfortably stowed away.
All BMW 4 Series Convertible engines have plenty of gallop. They can really get-up-and-go should the need require, making this an apt car for the driving enthusiast. The BMW TwinPower straight six-cylinder, 3.0-litre engine in the 435i Convertible pumps out 225 kW and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h can be dealt to in just 5.6 seconds with the manual and 5.5 seconds with the automatic transmission. A top speed of 250 km/h is governed. Average fuel consumption is around 8 litres/100 km for both the manual and auto transmission. The other BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder petrol engine is found in the BMW 428i Convertible, and whilst it has a smaller 180 kW, it is not much slower in acceleration, and will still reach a top speed of 245 km/h. Average fuel consumption is around 7 litres/ 100 km.
As mentioned above there are three lines of luxury for the new BMW 4 Series Convertible: Luxury, Modern and M Sport. Features like Driving Experience Control, BMW Head-Up Display, Driving Assistant, Navigation system Professional with iDrive Touch Controller, Active Protection, Camera systems, Active Cruise Control with Stop&Go function and Anti-dazzle high-beam assistant are all systems that you can enjoy in your new BMW 4 Series Convertible. Go on and indulge, and experience the joy of owning a new BMW 4 Series Convertible.
