Ford has added to the Focus range, the racy little Ford Focus CC. Pleasantly sculptured, the Ford focus CC has a cleverly disguised large boot. In fact, the 534 litres of boot space can swallow golf bags and/or holiday luggage with ease. It could swallow gear as quickly as a young teenager’s eating habit! With the top down, the boot still takes 248 litres. I could become quite attached to this little car. It is great for the weekend away, the Sunday drive, a run to the shops or off to the beach for a swim.

Even without the top off, the Ford Focus CC is a fun drive. Oh, that’s the car’s top off – not mine! There is plenty of squirt to be had with the smooth 2.0 litre Duratec sixteen valve engine. Linked to a five-speed manual or the optional four-speed automatic with a sequential sports-shift feature, your drive will be lively, efficient and plenty of fun. The engine produces 107 kW of responsive power and 185Nm of torque and twist.

Slide into the supportive seats, and you’ll discover that the trim fit and finish of the Ford Focus C-C is outstanding. I love the dash design, use of quality materials and overall classy look of the cabin. The hard top is electrically retractable, and there are plenty of luxury items in the Ford Focus CC: dual zone climate control, variable heated front seats, leather seat trim, a leather wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, an awesome Sony 6-disc in-dash CD player with 8 speakers, airbags all round, an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control that is linked with the Traction Control, a Rollover Protection Device (RPD) and sexy 17-inch, ten-spoke alloy wheels. Oh, and there’s heaps of exterior colours to choose from. My favourite is the Blue Di Cane metallic, though the Ford Focus CC also looks good in Pitch Black.

The little Ford Focus has been, for sometime now, a highly successful seller for Ford.
