Coasting down the highway in a new Ford Mustang GT is how the biggest smiles are made.  These cars are created to be driven and, as you would expect, the ride, brakes and handling match the sexy performance and looks.  Modern technology has been packed into the car, and that’s why the selectable Drive modes let you adjust the handling dynamics to suit you and the conditions outside.  Adjusting the handling dynamics and the response characteristics of the Mustang GT enables you to get the best out of the performance package that the V8 engine offers.  There are modes for “normal”, “snow/wet”, “sport”, and “track”.  Hard core performance needs hard core track handling, and the Mustang GT hooks you up to the “track” mode at the toggle of a button.  The V8 Mustang boasts an automatic transmission that can be used like a manual.  Simply snap the race car-inspired paddle-shifters on the steering wheel to shift your gears up or down, and the Mustang GT responds instantaneously.  As you can guess, the acceleration through the gears is phenomenal.  A 0-100 km/h dash can be completed in around the five second mark.  Flick the Ford Mustang GT through the corners, and the agility of the large coupe is amazing.  Thanks to the advanced braking system the Mustang GT has superior control in heavy braking, with tuned EBD, ABS, DSC3 and the Traction Control System working wonders for optimal control when you need it most.

Seated inside the all leather interior, the seats are figure hugging and supportive, while the cabin has a quality feel and an open, spacious ambience.  A simple central console in the middle of the dash has a Microsoft designed connectivity screen that is 8-inches wide and touch controlled.  Control your phone calls to your friends, play your favourite music, find the perfect temperature with Hands-free Climate Control, and stay on track with the integrated Satellite Navigation System.  You can do all of this with your hands staying on the steering wheel – where they should be, it’s that simple.  A rear-view camera, keyless entry and the cool MyKey function are standard features.  I like the MyKey so much, as it provides parents with the positive technology that gives parents of younger drivers peace of mind by reducing distractions and limiting the speed.  Owners can even limit the stereo volume, increase the regularity of seat belt reminders, and block inbound phone calls and text messages while other drivers are driving the new Mustang GT.  That is great technology!
