The stand out design takes a shape that delivers raw power and elegance, and with the high waistline and muscly bonnet the HSV Grange has heaps of aggression to mix in with the gracefully high class lines. Sitting on massive tyres, exclusively designed and developed Bridgestone tyres 245/40 R19 front and 275/35 R19 rear, the car, though large, looks compact and nicely sporty.

This is a true luxury sedan. Loaded with luxury items, the HSV Grange is as kingly on the inside as it is handsome on the outside. Nappa leather seats (Black or Beige), Sat nav, Blue-tooth communications, a multifaceted audio system and an LED screen with multifunctional displays for the onboard diagnostics and equipment procedures are some of the items that are offered as part of the Grange luxo package. As the car travels swiftly through the night, the brilliant Bi-Xenon self-levelling headlights light up the road ahead. If the weather takes a turn for the worst and the cool air brings on the foggy mist, the HSV Grange has superbly designed fog lights, LED tail lights and LED side indicators to be seen safely. WM Grange 19-inches Deep Dish alloy wheels, in chrome shadow, grace the feet of this swift motorway marauder. For those who like to make a definitive statement, there are even larger rims on offer. The equally stunning Pentagon Spoke design rims are fatter: front 20-inch x 8-inches, rear 20-inch x 9.5-inches.

Sitting inside the HSV Grange is incredible. The sumptuous leather interior creates such a high level of lavishness. All the electrics are present, and the very roomy cabin is superbly comfortable on any long journey.

The all new LS3 6.2 litre Generation 4 V8 engine is a force to be reckoned with, and it has to be considered an engine that places it amongst only the elite of five-seater performance sedans. Power has been increased to 317kW that kicks in at 6000 rpm. The torque figure has climbed to a whopping 550 Nm at 4600rpm. “You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby, right round, right round!” Such as the infamous song goes. On the right road, acceleration times for the 0-100 km/h sprint can be completed in consistent five second slots. If you allow the engine to push on, the HSV Grange is capable of over 270 km/h. World-class HSV technology employs an intelligent engine control system to extract the maximum brute engine force and torque every 6.25 milliseconds. Tubular four into two into one extractors and an HSV exclusive limited slip final drive ratio of 3.7 (manual) or 3.27 (auto) help deliver the power immediately to the road. You’re in total control all the way with the six-speed sequential auto transmission that boasts an active select feature. The race-bred six-speed automatic transmission features tip-tronic style gear selecting and an adaptive shift control for very smooth and refined gear changing. When it comes to really making the HSV Grange stonk it, the sports mode delivers superbly aggressive performance.

Stopping power is huge. Monstrous front and rear brakes have been specifically designed to optimise stopping power and reduce braking distance. The front brakes boast 365mm x 32mm ventilated and grooved discs, while 350mm x 26mm ventilated and grooved discs sit at the rear. Combine this with the car’s effortless handling prowess, and you have a world beater. The Linear Control Suspension, Luxury Sports Suspension with MRC, Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake force Distribution, Electronic Brake Assist and fantastic Traction Control System (TCS) lead the way forward.
