Hyundai has a very special KONA on sale which is definitely going to be the sought after model in years to come.  Known as the Hyundai KONA Iron Man Edition, this particular model has loads of high end features as well as Iron Man detailing to make it lovely and unique.

The Iron Man logo is of a tough looking figurehead with steely eyes and a broad chin.  Iron Man is a fictional superhero that appears in American comics and has also been made into a super hero film.  Very cool, in my opinion, and worthy of a flagship Hyundai KONA, this is the model to buy!  The Iron Man logo has been embedded into the front seat back rests and the centre of the 18-inch alloy mag wheels.  A large silver Iron Man badge sits just behind the front wheel arches.  This edition looks a cut above the top of the range KONA Highlander version with musclier lines, more pronounced exterior curves, and red accents.  The red accents in the alloy wheel design looks very nice.  It matches the red on the bottom of the door, rim of the headlights, roof, upper doors and wing mirrors.  Classy and cool, the Hyundai KONA Iron Man Edition draws the attention of all onlookers.

At the back of the Iron Man Edition there is a very stylish design that incorporates a shark fin antennae, a roof spoiler with brake light LED technology, red surrounds for the reverse lights and other chrome detailing to match the chrome used on the front grille.  The word IRONMAN is embedded on the chrome strip along the boot lid.

LED technology powers both the low and the high beams and pretty much all the exterior lights are LEDs.  A proximity key fob boasts the Iron Man Face, and when you open the door the Iron Man face appears lit up on the ground – all very cool!  On the front seats is the largest Iron Man face embedded onto the back rest.

Head inside the Iron Man Edition of the new KONA and you are greeted with familiar KONA practicality and technology.  The front doors provide some handy storage compartments for all sorts of things including bottles.  You get the heated front seats with red accent stitching and piping, and these are nice and supportive.  Red seat belts match the design.  The perforated leather upholstery on the seats offers a very nice surface and styling appeal.  Red detailing is also used around the air vents and centre console.

Back seat passengers get a nice bit of space for their legs and heads.  The leather seats are soft and comfy, and they also have the red stitch and piping as well as the snazzy red seat belts.  A fold out centre arm rest provides two cup holders for those seated in the back.

To be fair there is a lot of hard plastics inside the Iron Man Edition across the dash and doors.  To offset it is some nice soft surfaces carefully placed into the design in the areas that matter the most, like the arm rests, steering wheel and lower dash.

Boot space is good and there are tie down points, under floor storage, a sub-woofer in the cargo area, and 60:40 split rear seats.

This Hyundai Kona Iron Man model has lots of bells and whistles which include: parking sensors, a back-up camera, a pop-up Heads-Up display, Iron Man animation on start-up, electric windows, a powered driver’s seat, powered lumbar support on the driver’s seat, electric wing mirrors, a dimmer switch, blind spot detection, traction control, lane keep assist, a tilt and telescoping steering column, steering wheel mounted controls, a touchscreen display, a leather steering wheel, Bluetooth communications, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring, a digital driver’s display, satellite navigation, voice recognition, a reverse camera, automatic air conditioning, wireless charging, smartphone connection, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, downhill descent, seven speed auto with manual shift, an auto dimming rear view mirror, and loads more.  As you can see you’re buying a very well equipped car with special character.

Powered by a 1.6-litre turbo petrol, the Hyundai KONA Iron Man Edition has plenty of zip and very good fuel economy.  Ride comfort is good and this will be a perfect car for running about town and then heading away on the open road now and then.  It has an automatic seven-speed dual clutch transmission that can be used manually.
