Hyundai’s new Genesis G70 premium sports/luxury sedan is nicely drawn with a balanced silhouette, gorgeous detailing and even with a flair resonant of Italian cars.   This athletic G70 sedan boasts exclusive piano black, chrome or dark chrome exterior highlighting, a set of suave 18 or 19-inch sports alloys, a full LED front lighting system including Bi-LED headlights with auto-levelling, a panorama glass sunroof-single panel and even an acoustic laminated front windscreen.  To the eye, the G70 has a hint of Maserati.

Hyundai Genesis has developed two engines specifically for the G70 sedan.  The emphasis of these two engines is emphatically on performance and excitement.  The 2.0-litre turbo direct injection petrol spins freely with its twin cam, 16-valve, 4-cylinder design.  With this engine under the bonnet, strong response and smooth, fuel efficient performance is what you’ll enjoy.  Maximum power is rated at 179 kW, and with 353 Nm of torque there is plenty of flexible pulling power.  A 0-100 km/h dash is completed in around six seconds.  RWD and AWD models are available with the 2.0-litre turbo.

A 3.3-litre, 24 valve, quad cam, direct injection, twin turbo V6 petrol engine adds more muscle, and with 272 kW of power and 510 Nm of torque on tap there is no doubting that this is a very quick car.  A 0-100 km/h sprint time of around 4.7 seconds is fast, and the car feels totally composed at any speed.  This car runs on to speeds above 270 km/h effortlessly.

Complementing the engines is the Electronically Controlled Adaptive Suspension.  It constantly adjusts and responds to the road in real time – giving you the most comfortable, safe and responsive ride possible.  Both the 2.0-litre and 3.3-litre engines are linked to a really nice eight-speed automatic gearbox with paddle-shifters for those who like to have total control and an engaging drive.
