What’s the nicest looking car on the road? There’s no right or wrong way to define beauty and, in most cases, we know something is beautiful by the way it catches our eye and persuades us to look more closely. This is exactly what happens when you set eyes on the new Jaguar F-TYPE. The car’s lines and design are breath-taking and engaging, and it doesn’t just stop with the F-TYPE’s style. There is so much to like about the new Jaguar Roadster, and here is just a snippet of a taster.
A new nose and back-end, the 2020 Jaguar F-Type sports meaner headlights and a larger grille, giving it a really imposing look – particularly when you’re seeing it getting bigger-and-bigger quickly in your rear-vision mirror. Brand new LED lights, a redesigned bumper and bigger bonnet air intakes finish out the striking F-TYPE face.
At the rear, the F-TYPE the car has new LED taillights with an appearance casting back to the E-TYPE of old – but narrower. The bumper has a redesign too, and I reckon it looks way better and more interesting. The sweet backside amplifies the car’s presence on the road and really highlights the large, bulging rear wheel arches. Quad exhausts underline the back-end and look really cool – sounding just as good barking and popping away when the revs climb and descend quickly.
There are a few engines available; it remains to be seen how many of the total engines make their way to Australian new car buyers. A base model 2.0-litre Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine; a V6 petrol option, a V8 petrol, and then the crazy-rich and super quick R-Spec V8 Supercharged petrol tops out the range. With close to 430 kW and 600 Nm of torque, the 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged Jaguar F-Type R has colossal speed and power. A top speed of around 300 km/h – not too shabby – and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds ensures you won’t be late to any boardroom meeting!
Some of the newest technology to find its way into the 2020 Jaguar F-Type Coupe and Convertible are things like:
Inside the latest F-TYPE cars the styling is very similar to outgoing models, but there are new stitching patterns on the doors and seats. You look and feel very special driving one of these; and dare I say it, a new Jaguar F-TYPE R has a bit more of an exotic flavour than a BMW or Audi equivalent, and it’s definitely for those who want a standout, unique driving experience.
When it comes to attracting the most attention and stirring the sense of sight, the 2020 Jaguar F-TYPE is among the very best of them, at least this side of Miranda Kerr!
The 2020 Jaguar F-TYPE models currently include the:
