Got a heart for the rough stuff? Love the outdoors? Like getting your hands dirty? The all new Mazda BT-50 4×2 utes rough it with the best of them… but just maybe a little better.
With an almost outrageous, bold new design, the 2012 Mazda BT-50 4×2 ute is a huge leap forward from the much more conservative and, perhaps, a little boring outgoing model. This is the model that easily looks as good as the new Nissan Navara and better than a new Toyota Hilux. It’s great to travel the road and be able to see contractors who like to drive something with a little distinction. The new Mazda BT-50 4×2 ute has just that. It’s a machine you’ll love to drive to the work site, the golf course, the farm and beyond. Stick your sign writing on a Mazda BT-50 4×2 truck, and get noticed.
One of the Mazda BT-50 4×2 versions that will sell like hot cakes will be the snazzy 4×2 Single Cab Chassis XT model. It is equipped with everything you going to need to get the job done. Its 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine provides all the power and torque you’ll ever need, and towing the cement trailer is easy with a large 2500 kg braked towing capacity. This might be the new Mazda BT-50 4×2 base model, but the XT Single Cab is packed with technology that includes Bluetooth and cruise control. Safety is always moving forward, and Mazda take this seriously, so the XT is also loaded with safety equipment like Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and four airbags. A split driver’s bucket seat and passenger’s bench seat permits up to three occupants to travel about inside the single cab body. You’ll love the long, strong deck out the back which carries heaps of stuff for the working bloke. Even the ladies will appreciate the massive deck space, too. Just what they’ll carry on it, I’m not sure.
The Mazda BT-50 4×2 Hi-Rider versions have the same tall stance that the 4×4 versions have; only they are running with their drive going to the rear wheels. You’ll love the versatility that these small trucks provide. A high ground clearance will come in handy and, with even more power and torque than the BT-50 XT, you can have the luxury of towing a 3350 kg braked trailer – no trouble! The Mazda BT-50 4×2 Hi-Rider is equipped with a potent 3.2-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 147 kW of power and 470 Nm of torque. These 4×2 Mazda BT-50 versions will make light work of any job. Advanced safety features such as Trailer Sway Control (TSC), Load Adaptive Control (LAC) and Roll Stability Control (RSC) help prevent trailer sway and vehicle roll over. Now that’s impressive.
Want all the luxury, too? The Mazda BT-50 4×2 Dual Cab Utility XTR Hi-Rider is the version for fulfilling this requirement. The 4×2 Dual Cab Utility XTR Hi-Rider adds that extra level of comfort and technology with dual-zone climate control, satellite navigation, a leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. The 17-inch alloy wheels look awesome, while the side steps and chrome exterior highlights complete the mouth watering picture. A choice of manual or automatic transmissions, class-leading safety with DSC and six airbags and a host of driver assist technologies such as Hill Launch Assist (HLA), this Dual Cab will satisfy all your work and pleasure requirements.
One of the things about the Mazda BT-50 Hi-Rider versions is they do come in Single Cab, Freestyle Cab and Dual Cab body shapes. You have all your options covered; so, how about kitting out your work fleet in 4×2 BT-50s. You’ll be driving something special and a little different, for sure.
