The difference between the Classic Sports and Luxury Sports models is in their level of standard equipment.
Topping it all off, your Mazda CX-7 can, alternatively, be powered by the very best diesel technology available. Step into a Mazda CX-7 Diesel, and you have transport that provides a very quiet and powerful diesel experience.
Each Mazda CX-7 has plenty of room in the seats. Bluetooth communications (Hands free), a blackout instrument cluster, a leather-wrapped handbrake handle, a multi information display with satellite navigation, leather seats, 8-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat and a heating function for the front seats are reserved for the Luxury models only. But these items definitely don’t make the premium Mazda CX-7 models all that better. All new Mazda CX-7 machines are effortless to drive, comfortable and well equipped vehicles that promise to be exceptionally nice vehicles to own over a lengthy period.

Buy yourself the Mazda CX-7 Classic, and you have a well equipped base model. Inside the engine bay is a 2.5-litre petrol motor that feels very flexible and smooth. One of the joys of this engine unit is the accessible levels of lusty torque low down in the engine revs. With 205 Nm of torque available from 2000 rpm and 120 kW @ 6000 rpm, there is no shortage of strength in the Classic’s performance. The Classic is matched to a five-speed automatic gearbox.
You’ll find that the Mazda CX-7 Classic Sports and Luxury Sports boast very commanding engine response and power. A definite step up in power output ensures that these CX-7 models accelerate quickly off the mark and can carry heavy loads swiftly without fuss. Stopping power is excellent – thanks to a simple yet very effective 4-wheel vented disk brake system that boasts ABS. Dynamic Stability and Traction Control tie up the 1800 kg body mass so that handling and control remains nicely balanced and in control.
In the safety department, there are front SRS air bags with front side impact air bags. Front and rear side impact curtains with rollover protection add to the CX-7’s excellent safety.
