There are now two petrol engines to choose from. Leading the charge is the 1.6-litre Turbo engine that delivers a very sprightly 115 kW which can fling the cabriolet from 0–100 km/h in 8.5 seconds. This is done via a delightfully crisp 6-speed manual gearbox. Talking about being crisp, the responsive steering is backed up by a superb chassis that delights in fast corners. The other engine offers 88 kW, smooth performance and a combined fuel cycle of 6.5 litres/100 km.

Both the 1.6 and 1.6 Turbo offer four airbags, an automatically folding steel roof, cruise control with a speed limiter, dual zone climate control air-conditioning, an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), self-deploying rear roll-over bars, sports front seats and a trip computer.

Two engines are offered by Peugeot in the 207 CC, both of which are petrol versions, and 1.6-litres in size. The difference being that one is turbocharged and can really snot it, the other is swift and slightly more fuel efficient. Both handle superbly, so the choice is left to you. Both 207CC versions are powerful enough to hit 200 km/h, so here is the warning. You might be rather addicted to the Peugeot 207CC once you take the plunge and test drive them.
