Lotus has tweaked the handling of the all new Proton Savvy. Resulting road holding is very good, and it’s actually a lot of fun to drive.

There is plenty to enjoy in the Savvy’s interior. The interior is stylish, just check out the cool yellow background for the speedo dials. You’ll also like the aluminum highlights on the sports steering wheel, gear shifter, dashboard and clarion audio system.

Savvy has a spacious interior with 50/50 split fold rear seats with fold flat rear seat cushions for increased load capacity and practicality. Air conditioning, power steering, front power windows, a vanity mirror for driver and passenger, central locking, cup holders, cloth seat upholstery, a CD player with four speakers, a rear luggage net and a business card holder all come as standard items.

To really spunk up the hatch, a rear spoiler, rear fog lights, a lower body kit, headlight protectors and slimline weathershields can be added as optional extras.

Not only is the Savvy well equipped and able to carry 4 passengers plus luggage, but the performance makes the journey fun. The Proton Savvy comes with a high spirited and very economical 1.2 litre single overhead cam 16-valve petrol motor. Fuel economy is outstanding with 5.7l itres/100 km easily reached on a daily basis. Now that’s impressive! The handling is grippy and the ride pliable.

The Savvy remains a safe buy. Anti-lock brakes, SRS dual front airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, front and rear fog lamps and a reverse parking sensor are all part of your complete package. The Proton Savvy has you covered.

Two models are available which are differentiated by there transmission choice. While both have the sprightly 55 kW engine, you can opt for the 5-speed manual or automated 5-speed manual.
