The V8 engine is a smooth and powerful piece of engineering, delivering a decisive maximum power output of 270 kW at 5700 rpm and the torque peaks at a titanic 530 Nm at 4400 rpm. By way of comparison, the V6 has a maximum output of 195 kW at 6500 rpm and the torque curve reaches its maximum of 340 Nm at 2600 rpm. As the Holden Statesman rides on Holden’s special Linear Control Suspension, the ride inside is comfortable and easy, but the driver is still provided with adequate feedback. A comprehensive ESP system comprising ABS, EBD, traction control and brake assist is provided to ensure the Holden Statesman has impeccable stability and grip when cornering.

Even if you know the value of taking risks in the marketplace, you’ve got the smarts to know that one should never take risks on the road. The Holden Statesman takes no risks. Along with the active safety features already mentioned, the Holden Statesman has the latest in passive safety features.
