2020 LDV V80 Commercial

Like most other new vans on the market, the 2020 LDV Van range has various models to choose from that are designed specifically to meet your requirements.  The LDV V80 has a commercial series of vans that have a range of cargo sizes.  The simplest way of describing these is small, medium and large.  Then there is the G10 Commercial van or G10 Passenger van – the perfect van for carrying passengers.  LDV, a relatively new brand in Australia, offers comfortable vans at an affordable price.

Now, each of the LDV V80 commercial vans uses the M Motori Eco-D 2.5-litre, turbo-diesel Euro V engine.  This is a hardworking unit with its Bosch electronically controlled common rail direct fuel injection system.  The turbocharger works perfectly in conjunction with the optimum range of engine revs to create excellent torque and great fuel economy.  It’s a four-cylinder, 16 valve engine that delivers a maximum power of 100 kW at 3800 rpm and a torque that peaks at 330 Nm between 1800 and 2600 rpm.  The option of a six-speed manual and a six-speed auto covers all the bases nicely, and you can expect an average fuel consumption figure to dial in at around 9-to-10 litres/100 km.  This is good, taking into account that most vans have the aerodynamics of a fridge flipped onto its back.

Whether you choose the V80 short wheelbase low roof, or the long wheelbase mid-roof or long wheelbase high-roof, you have a van that is stacked to the hilt with excellent features.  Anti skid brakes (ABS), Electronic brake force distribution (EBD), Hill Hold, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), driver and passenger airbags, reverse parking sensors, a reversing camera, LED parking lamps and a Brake assist system (BAS) are top safety equipment items.

Any of the new LDV V80 vans come standard with air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, an FM/AM/MP3 Player audio system, an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, a bench seat to fit three occupants in the front, a driver’s fold down arm rest, nice big driver and passenger door pockets, Bluetooth connectivity, a 10-inch touch screen entertainment system and Smart Phone Connectivity.

Each new LDV V80 van comes with 1200 kg braked towing capacity/750 kg unbraked and a 3 year/100,000 km warranty.

Head over the LDV G10 booth and, and you’ll see a nice looking van with loads of goodies and comfort with the same 3 year/100,000 km warranty.  The G10 Commercial van is a premium commercial van with a great price tag.  It’s available with a petrol or diesel engine.

Petrol models boast either the non-turbo 2.4-litre petrol multipoint fuel injection engine (105 kW/200 Nm), or the 2.0-litre TGI turbo-charged motor 165 kW/330 Nm.  The TGI is a grunty beast while the 2.4-litre delivers smooth, flexible performance.

Diesel LDV G10 vans get the 1.9 litre turbo-diesel powerplant with excellent fuel economy and as much as 350 Nm of torque.  This diesel engine is slightly better on fuel than the V80 equivalent.

All LDV G10 commercial vans can come with a manual or automatic transmission.  It is spacious enough to fit 5.2 m3 of cargo and offers easy access through two sliding doors and a rear lift tailgate. These nice vans also come with Bluetooth, alloy wheels and a rear camera.  The G10 series adds Rollover Mitigation (RMI) and tyre pressure monitoring to the safety kit.

2020 LDV G10 People Mover

Finally, the LDV series of vans offer an LDV G10 People Mover.  It has nice Italian styling that looks easy on the eye.  It comes with either a powerful 165 kW turbo-charged petrol engine or a gutsy, economical 110 kW turbo diesel engine.  Both engines are mated with a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission.

Available in both seven and nine seat versions, the G10 People Mover offers plenty of space for the family or business group.  You travel together in comfort, and with the Executive range the journey is premium.  Things like a 6-speaker entertainment system, a rear camera, front and rear air-conditioning, passive entry and start, cruise control, a 10-inch touchscreen, heated mirrors, adaptive headlights, rain sensing wipers, sunroofs and leather seats lead the way.  In fact, nothing in its class comes close to matching the G10 People Mover for value and performance.
