With FWD traction, the new MG3 Auto pulls confidently over any road surface, riding with good control.  Under the hood sits a new 82 kW 1.5-litre petrol engine that’s linked to a 4-speed automatic gearbox.  Producing 150 Nm of healthy torque, particularly in the mid-to-high rev range the MG3 Auto offers plenty of shove when the engine revs are allowed to spin freely in the higher bands.  Ok, it’s fair enough to say it’s not super fast, but then there is no turbo to go wrong and no direct injection which equals no carbon build up on the internal valve system.  Fuel economy is very good around town with stop start technology aiding this strong point, and when you hit the open road the MG3 Auto provides very efficient cruising ability – sipping fuel at less than 6 litres/100 km.  A seven year unlimited km warranty backs things up nicely on the mechanical side of things.

Five exterior colours are offered that are clean, vivid and modern.  You’ll be standing out from the crowd in this one.  You can also add some personal touches with choices of various roof graphics as well as some cool wing mirror designs.  The new MG3 Auto gets some nicely designed LED “London Eye” daytime running lights that come as standard on your MG3 hatch.  Poised on 16-inch, two-tone machined alloy wheels connects you with the road on the MG3 Auto Excite models – the Core gets 15-inch ones instead which look cool in their own right.  Excite models also boast front, side and rear apron spoilers which looks really good from every angle.  Flamboyance has always run in MG’s DNA, so from the signature London-Eye headlights to the dramatic front grille, the clean lines to the sporty profile, this is a five-door hatchback with real road presence.  For the price, this is a package that’s very hard to beat, and in the UK people love it – with an MG3 fan base growing by the day.
