Love a new Mini but want a stationwagon body style? Mini do make a model that is a wagon, and in 2024, there are six Clubman Wagon models to choose from. These are cool cars that will definitely capture admiring looks as you drive about town in one of these stylish Mini wagons.
The 2024 Mini Wagon range starts off with the Mini Clubman Cooper S Classic Wagon. In Classic trim, there are plenty of nice features that come as standard. A Carbon Black leatherette interior has BMW’s premium quality throughout – that’s simply because BMW makes all the current Mini cars. The cabin is comfortable, stylish, and unique in its flamboyancy.
You get nice touches like keyless entry, an HD media touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, and even an active driving assistant. The 17-inch vented spoke wheels look snazzy, and they are shod with run-flat tyres. The Clubman Classic’s road is lit up at night by some very nice LED headlights and fog lights. The heated mirrors are great for those cold morning getaways, and a set of washer jets keep the lights clean from bugs and grime. SiriusXM comes standard with a 12-month Platinum Plan subscription trial.
The higher up the Clubman Wagon model range you go, the more features you get as standard, and Mini allow you to add various packages and options on any of the models you’d like to buy. A premium leather interior upholstery, a Harman Kardon premium sound system upgrade, powered front seats, wireless device charging, park assist, active cruise control, and a heads-up display will be part of the kit on the premium Clubman models or on an option package, depending on your starting variant.
I like the new Mini Navigation system that finds the best route to your destination, really making travel simpler for you, which is particularly great if you live in a place like Sydney or Melbourne. Advanced real-time traffic maps, heated front seats, and an awesome panoramic moonroof are some of the goodies on offer too. An array of 17-inch or 18-inch wheels can be had, and so can a Piano Black exterior trim if you like such a look.
A 2024 Mini Clubman Wagon has plenty of zip to take you quickly across town. Even in the Clubman Cooper S Classic Wagon, when you need to hit the motorway, there is always plenty in reserve for overtaking. And then there is the insanely quick John Cooper Works Clubman models. The Clubman Wagon range all use a petrol engine, offering an average fuel economy range somewhere between 6.5 litres/100 km to 8.0 litres/100 km, depending on the model badge, the engine, and the weight of your right foot. The boot space behind the rear seat is a useful 360 litres; this will expand to a full 1250 litres if the split-folding rear seats are fully folded flat.
The Mini Clubman Cooper S Classic, the Clubman Cooper S MINI Yours, and the Clubman Cooper S JCW Sport run with the responsive BMW 2.0-litre turbo ULP engine, boasting up to 141 kW of power and a nice flow of torque that peaks at 280 Nm between 1350 and 4600 rpm. These three models can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.2 seconds and will reach speeds of up to 228 km/h. They handle superbly and are fun to drive, as they apply power down on the road via the front-wheel-drive layout and seven-speed automatic transmission.
Get yourself into one of the John Cooper Works Clubman Wagons, and the sensational levels of AWD grip and engine performance are terrific! The BMW 2.0-litre turbo inside it is packed with 225 kW and up to 450 Nm. The 8-speed sports automatic sends you catapulting through to 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.9 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
