Situated in the centre of the dash is the very good infotainment system designed by Mitsubishi.  This has all the functions for phone connection, music, maps, messages, audio tracks, pod casts and even audio books.  The Smartphone link display on the menu is a true extension of your smartphone via Android 1 or Apple CarPlay.  You really have it all on tap in the new Mitsubishi Triton utes.  The touchscreen in the GLX, GLS and GLS Premium can access your phone’s compatible apps, get directions, make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music including DAB+ radio.

Single Cab utes are more than capable of collecting the groceries!  But even Double Cab Triton utes can haul a decent load on the tray out the back.  A full 1520 mm long, 1470 mm wide and 475 mm deep tray offers spacious cargo carrying capacity.  Thanks to the tough robust chassis design, the new Triton has huge strength for towing and off-road work, and even boasts sporty road holding.  Its legendary ladder chassis is a rock for all the work and play you can muster up for the Triton.  Each model comes with a rugged suspension with coil springs and a stabiliser bar at the front and depending on the model even a leaf suspension at the rear for total muscle.

2019 Mitsubishi Triton Single Cab

New Mitsubishi Triton utes come with an array of body shapes, diesel and petrol power, and six-speed automatic or six-speed manual gearboxes to choose from.  The 2.4-litre MIVEC Turbo Diesel is a superbly responsive and smooth engine with 16-valve common rail intercooled diesel technology.  The aluminium cylinder block and other strong yet lightweight components reduce the engine’s overall weight.  This is one of the quietest and most efficient diesel engines on the market.  Peak power sits at 133 kW at 3500 rpm, while the torque is an impressive 430 Nm at 2500 rpm.  The Triton is an enjoyable ute to drive over any surface, delivering outstanding power and performance.  The ride and handling are excellent and surefooted.  Boasting over 3 tonne towing capacity you’ll have all the goods for a weekend away fishing or getting that landscaping load hauled to the building site.

Of course, the Mitsubishi Triton GLS and GLS Premium models give you the best 4WD systems on the market.  Super Select II 4WD has the option of Full-time 4WD, High and Low Range with a centre diff-lock and selectable 2WD.  There are also options for bad weather and other difficult Terrain modes.  Other 4WD Triton utes run with a slightly less sophisticated 4WD system, but they still deliver awesome off-road proficiency.

Some of the latest new technology in the 2019 Tritons are features like: Ultrasonic misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS), Blind Spot Warning, Lane Chand Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Hill Descent Control, a 360 degree monitor, Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian Detection, Auto High Beam, Hill start Assist, auto rain sensing wipers, auto dusk detecting headlights, a reversing camera, Trailer Stability Control, ABS and EBD.  2019 Mitsubishi Triton utes come with a five-star safety result in crash testing, so you can rest assured you’re in one of the safest utes you can drive.
