The Renault Master Bus is powered by the robust and torquey 2.3-litre turbo-diesel engine that has the latest injection diesel technology.  With as much as 350 Nm available from 1500 rpm and 110 kW at 3500 rpm, the performance of the Renault Master Bus is excellent for its primary task of carrying passengers with their luggage from A-to-B.  A simple front-wheel-drive layout that has power fed from the engine to the wheels via a six-speed automated manual gearbox that works in a responsive and smooth fashion.  The Master Bus sits nicely on the road and though light in the steering, feels very safe and secure on the road.  Sitting on 16-inch rims with 225/65 R16 rims, grip is sure and the ride smooth over a wide range of surfaces.  Large brake discs serve to stop the vehicle in an emergency stop and there is an array of driver aids like ABS, ESC and EBD to keep the Bus in control.  A handy feature for when you need to start off on a slope is the Hill Start Assist feature which provides confidence in these situations.  All-in-all the Renault Master is easy to drive, smooth and powerful.  Renault rates the Master Bus with the ability to tow 2.5 tonnes.

Master Bus safety features include park assist sensors and cameras, automated headlights, rain sensor wipers, cruise control with a speed limiter, lane departure warning, and front passenger and driver airbags.

To make the bus trip appealing for the passengers, there are numerous items which include: soft cloth upholstery, overhead storage, premium carpet flooring, 3-point seatbelts, an arm rest on aisle seats, reclining seats, isofix points, four USB sockets, LED roof lighting, curtains, a rear heater, rear air-conditioning and a CD/MP3 sound system.

The driver also has plenty of comforts in the Master Bus, and things like satellite navigation, Bluetooth hands-free communications, a special Isringhausen driver’s suspension seat with huge adjustability for comfort, cup holders, and air-conditioning make for a nice cabin space to drive in.

Two large rear doors with 270 degree opening capacity provide easy access to the luggage area.  Luggage volume is around 3.5 m³.  The left-side sliding door is electronically activated and large for easy passenger access.  A range of vivid and eye-catching exterior colours help to show off the modern lines of Renault’s small bus attractively.
