The middle seat has a fold down back which has a handy couple of cup-holders and a storage compartment for paper, invoice books, pens and what have you. Decent sized door pockets can also hold a wealth of useful documents. The flip down sides on the rear deck make for easy loading, allowing the new K2900 to be extremely versatile as a flat deck. It’s deceptive just how long the deck is! The entire length of the vehicle is almost 5.2 metres, and you can carry loads of nearly two tonnes in weight over the rear axle. A handy towing weight of 1.4 tonnes for a braked trailer makes this a superior trade vehicle.

Powered with a 2.9-litre DOHC diesel you have a hefty 245 Nm available from as low as 1500 rpm.

Kia boast some of the world’s best diesel engines, and they have picked up numbers of awards. The CRDi engine is paired with a sophisticated and reliable RT-10 five-speed manual transmission for smooth and precise gear shifting. And with a 2.9 litre, turbo inter-cooled diesel with DOHC, Common rail (Delphi) technology it rates as one of the cleanest burning and gruntiest motors in its class. The 92 kW of maximum power comes into its own at a very accessible 3800 rpm, and with 245 Nm of torque from as low as 1500 rpm all the way through to 3250 rpm business has never looked better.

The tray-deck is superbly tough and practical, with a height of just 775 mm. Loading the deck is not as hard as you think. With 3110 mm x 1630 mm to play around with, sizeable loads can be carried. Versatile? Yes. You can carry loads up to a whopping 1500 kg.
