Each engine usese the very silky five-speed automatic transmission. And one thing is for sure, each engine has ample energy and grunt to get you swiftly to where you want to be in complete refinement. A car looking this great needs to have something special under the bonnet, and that is why a 3.5-litre high-output V6 SOHC engine with 183kW and 340Nm of torque kicks the variants off. A diesel option is available too. And the 3.0-litre CRD V6 engine with an impressive 160kW and 510Nm of torque is a creamy performer. Efficient and capable of hurtling the big Chrysler 300C Touring body from a standstill to 100 km/h in a little over eight seconds touring becomes a relaxed and effortless affair – even loaded up to the hilt. Two bruisers are available in the line-up. The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine with a Multiple-Displacement System boasts an impressive 250kW of power and 525Nm of torque. And if that isn’t enough, then you’ll have to settle for the high performance 6.1-litre SRT HEMI V8 engine found in the 300C SRT8 Touring with 317kW and 569Nm of torque. That shouldn’t be too much of a hardship, though!

Safety is a premium, and so it should be – it’s would you expect. The best technology is found inside, and features like: power performance four-wheel discs, anti-lock and Brake Assist, all-speed traction control, an advanced Electronic Stability Program, advanced front multistage air bags are standard, side curtain airbags standard, and all models offer additional side-impact protection to front- and rear occupants in the event of a severe side impact.

The Chrysler 300C Touring has a suspension that has been designed to balance maximum control with a comfortable ride. The quiet ride boasts an advanced suspension mounting system that significantly reduces road noise.

Loaded with heaps of high-end features, which can be upgraded if you desire – to the extreme, and looks that are fantastic, an impeccable ride and superbly quiet interior, I can’t imagine a better all-round package in the large estate sector of the car market. And when you consider the price…well why look anywhere else. This is an all round winner and a highly recommended vehicle for those on the look out for luxury, space and grunt.
