The Ford FPV Force is a beautiful beast. The interior comes in either Regency Red or Dark Charcoal leather. There is a very exciting palette range for the exterior colour – a total of seven dazzling shades – but it looks its best with the metallic black off-set with striking red seats.

This four-door sedan not only has sports car performance and immense power, but also provides the driver and its occupants with a luxurious interior. Sitting back in the very comfortable seats of the Ford FPV Force and listening to the sensuous growl of the engine is an experience not to be forgotten. The instrument panel for the driver is simple and clear, and the silver trim tastefully finishes the dark interior colours. A premium 6-disc 150 Watt sound system provides first-rate surround sound if you ever tire of listening to the music of the motor; this has an optional auxiliary audio plug-in function that is iPod/MP3 compatible. Also optional is the DVD satellite navigation system. Only the best will do in a car of the Ford FPV Force’s quality, so leather comes as standard. To sit in, the seats are voluptuous and provide superb back and side support. The on-board trip computer in the Ford FPV Force keeps the driver up to date, and the dual-zone climate controls mean that the driver and front passenger can keep comfortable whatever the weather, depending on personal preference. Let’s face if, if you’re driving in the Ford FPV Force to a high-profile party with a hot date, you’ll need to have both the one wearing the three-piece suit and the one in the strapless evening gown arriving cool, calm and comfortable. The Ford FPV Force has handling par excellence. This handling is aided wonderfully by the traction control and the ProDrive enhanced suspension kit. Therefore, to drive, the Ford FPV Force is surefooted and nimble. Brembo brakes offer one of the best packages available in the world.. The Ford FPV Force’s stopping ability is incredible, to say the least. The brakes in the Ford FPV Force have got ABS and EBD, so if you need to come to a screaming halt, you’ll be able to do it in relative safety.

It’s now time to mention that there are two mighty powerpacks available to rocket the Ford FPV Force forward. The Ford FPV Force comes with an F6 or an F8 engine – and you don’t need me to tell you that the F6 is a six-cylinder beast and the F8 is a V8. The inline six-cylinder 4 litre turbo-charged DOHC has 24 valves and puts out a monumental 270 kW at 5000 rpm and a thumping 550 Nm of torque between 2000 and 4250 rpm. On the other hand, the F8 motor is a high performance 5.4 litre quad-cam 32 valve V8. Power is phenomenal – 302 kW and the twist to match with 540 Nm. The power is sourced through a German made ZF 6-speed high-torque automatic transmission with sequential sports shift and the Ford FPV Force has limited-slip differential to aid traction. Both models complete the 0-100 kmh in well under 6.5 seconds.

Fuel consumption probably won’t be at the top of your mind if you’re drooling over the Ford FPV Force. And just as well – neither the F6 nor the F8 engine can drink any less than 13 litres per 100 km. Safety, however, as you would expect is off the top shelf, with airbags, pretensioners, three-point seat belts front and rear (total of five) and a crash severity sensor attached to the airbags. The Smartshield security system locks the car up and keeps it safe.
