Big and sophisticated, the Renault Master is the benchmark big van for carrying goods. Three years or 200,000 km, whatever comes first, is Renault’s exceptional new van warranty, and is just one of the big reasons why you need to be looking at a Renault Master for moving your business around Australia. Purpose-built and capable of carrying large, heavy loads, the Renault Master works hard to keep your business looking good and keeping ahead.
Spacious, welcoming and comfortable, the interior cabin of the new Renault Master has a level of professionalism that is lacking in other work vans. Seated in the elevated front seats, there is a high level of visibility, while the ergonomic controls, adjustable seat and steering wheel can be positioned perfectly to suit your body shape. The seats are very comfortable for the long haul, while air-conditioning and satellite navigation are necessary luxury items. Renault’s Master comes with a document stand on the dashboard and a swivelling desk for your files or computer. Numerous, large and practical storage spaces are all about the cabin. Materials and trim are of high quality, and the fit-and-finish is excellent. Classy on the inside and stylish on the outside: the Renault Master is a great van for making a statement of success.
The Renault Master MWB version has an overall length of 5548 mm which creates a 3083 mm length of interior loading space. Convert the linear measurement to a three-dimensional figure of 10.3 m3 for volume in the rear cargo space, and you see that the MWB Renault Master has plenty of ability.
Opt for the LWB Master versions, and the overall van length stretches to 6198 mm. Driving the longer version is noticeable in tight spaces but never does it feel cumbersome. With the Renault Master LWB, the interior loading space is 3733 mm in length. Looking at the volume: the LWB Renault Master boasts 12.5 m3 for its cargo carrying capacity.
Getting to the loading platform inside each of the Renault Master vans becomes a breeze with its huge twin rear doors which open wide for easy access. There is also two sliding doors either side of the big van.
One of the things I like about the Renault Master is that the van is fully loaded with safety features. The Master never leaves you with grounds for complaint as ABS, ESP, 3-point seat belts with pre-tensioners, a front driver airbag, a front passenger airbag, cruise control, speed limiter, and rear parking proximity sensors are all standard features. Each Renault Master comes with its own alarm system, so when you’re carrying premium goods from A-to-B you can rest assured that the Renault Master will be doing its best to keep them protected in transport.
Power is new for 2012, and you’ll find that with a reduction from 2.5 to 2.3-litres, there has been no noticeable drop in power. The new engine offers you lower fuel consumption and lets you go further between refills. The new 2.3-litre dCi offers 107 kW of power at 3500 rpm, which in the real world provides perfect overtaking power in the mid-range. Using the maximum torque of 350 Nm between 1550 – 2750 rpm is so relaxed for everyday driving. The low-down high levels of pulling power make the Renault Master effortless around town and in the hills. You can expect 9.0 litres/100 km for a combined cycle, which makes the Master very economical and great for keeping your running costs low. Renault claim that the Master is good for towing a 750 kg unbraked trailer or a 2500 kg braked trailer.
Sitting on a set of 225/65 R16 tyres, the big van has a nice solid feel on the road. High speed travel feels nice and relaxed, so if you need to travel long distances, the Renault Master is a superbly comfortable van for doing the business.
