The Renault Scenic proves to be a smart and very versatile car. With room for seven, the Scenic can carry the entire family or a bunch of your friends in luxury and refinement.
The Renault Scenic has two very useful engines that are willing to perform in a fuss-free fashion. The Renault Scenic Expression (6-speed manual), Dynamique (4-speed auto) and Grand Scenic 7 seater (4-speed auto) come with a 4-cylinder engine underneath the graceful bonnet lines. The 2.0 litre has 98 kW and a decent 191 Nm of torque. You will find in the other version of the Scenic Expression (4-speed auto) a very manly 250 Nm, 1.9 litre Turbo diesel. Certainly in diesel form, the 7 litres/100 km ensures that your grunt won’t lack economy. On the road, the Scenic feels very stable and always in control. Bumps and undulations are dealt with in a silent and controlled manner.
The interior of a Renault Scenic is pretty impressive with a turn-by-turn navigation system, entertainment system with a multi-changer CD and MP3 player. Hands-free Bluetooth® wireless telephone capability means that you can show off to your bunch of friends in a very sophisticated kind of way! The entertainment controls are located on the steering wheel, and there is a multifunctional Tune Point or access point for your multimedia unit, I-pod, MP3 and USB devices. Driving comfort is outstanding. The height and reach adjustable steering wheel works extremely well with a very comfortable driver’s seat. You have the option of leather seats if you wish.
When it comes to the all-important acid test, you will find a Scenic superbly safe. You can set your mind at ease with Anti-lock brakes, parking sensors front and rear, cruise control with a limiter, ESP with ASR traction control and CSV understeer control. Dynamically on the road, the Scenic is safe. There is even a tyre pressure monitor that will alert you if your tyres are getting low. Front driver and passenger airbags, as well as lateral and curtain airbags, are all part and parcel of the long list of passive safety features in a Renault Scenic. In the recent ANCAP testing results, the Renault Scenic II scored 15.12 out of 16 in the offset crash test. The vehicle scored 16 out of 16 in the side impact crash test. What does this mean? That when purchasing one of these, you know you have the proof that your Scenic is a five-star crash safety performer.
Pleasantly designed and one of the roomiest in its class, it makes sense to check out the Renault Scenic today.
