Vans are supposed to be like fridges, right? Not so with the Renault Trafic. Cold, white, fridges have no similarities with the very capable French commercial delivery van. Look at the front to start with. This is a big van with a nose. Storage space abounds, with pockets virtually everywhere – from the seats to the dash – so you will have enough room for just about anything. You will also know exactly where you’re going with the optional GPS navigation system. There is a 6-CD changer and the option for satellite radio, with the controls built into the steering wheel. All the wiring for a telephone is ready built into any Renault Trafic. There are also optional heated door mirrors. To monitor those long journeys, an on-board trip computer gives you detailed information on the progress of your vehicle.

Safety features include automatic windscreen wipers and headlamps. At night the front fog lamps are awesome. Lateral and curtain airbags, driver and passenger front SRS airbags, Automatic Brake System (ABS) with EBA (Emergency Brake Assist) are standard. The Renault Trafic has an electronic stability programme for optimum dynamic safety.
